about

Wishing you wonder and light in the darkest night. This album was recorded at home in the hot summer of 2008, when I was very pregnant with Otto, and also after he left us. It contains joy and heartache, but all if it has the wonder of the winter night. Winter lends itself to the moods I like to write under, the stars, the smokey air, big moons and long nights, and I've wanted to make some songs to honor that for a long time now. It was a good project for my heart during the year of my first child. I've added a couple songs every couple years, and it keeps growing.
